• What are Dwelling Kits, VIP Kit and Guilt Trip Kit? Our goal as Airbnb hosts is to ensure every guests' experience is amazing. We wanted to include "kits" that include all "Nashville Original" products that we love. In each kit is something specific to a part of the trailer or an experience that we think is fun, cool, or romantic.
• Is the trailer open all year? For the most part. We close down after the middle of December through the middle to end of February. It just gets too cold. The trailer is equipped with air conditioning and heaters when it is colder and hot.
• Is there much to do in the area? Yes. Aside from looking around the farm, we are only 20-25 minutes from downtown Nashville with usually minimal traffic. We are also just 6 miles from Beaman park that has wonderful hiking. Just up the road form the park is Marrowbone Lake which if you are on the water you HAVE to fish or they will kick you off. You don't hear that often...
• What time is check in/out? Check in at 3 pm on the day of arrival, and check out is 12pm on the day of departure.
• Is there early check in? We can arrange an early check in for a nominal charge as long as there is no reservation the night before. We need time between reservations to ensure we can make things ready. If you arrive in town early we can give you suggestions on where to kill some time.
• Do you have a cancellation list? We do. If dates become available that you want we will contact you. Please let us know when you are looking to stay by emailing us at brian@brianoaks.com and we will add you to the list. Brian is me.
• Can we buy food from the farm? Of course. In the trailer will be list of what is available sesaonally. You can also buy fresh flowers by the bunch, fresh herbs and our custom blended No. 9 Farms organic tea.
• Is there food in the trailer? No. That is up to you of what you want to bring. There is a Walmart a mile a way and some great organic and local grocery stores such as the Turnip Truck and Whole Foods in Nashville.
• Can I bring my own wine and libations? Sure! Feel free to leave some too :) We have a bar set, wine glasses and cocktail glasses as well.
• Are there restaurants close by? YES. SO many... Just ask and we can steer you.
• What airport should I fly into? Nashville BNA or if you have you own jet... John C. Tune is just 10 miles from the farm :)
• Is it quiet in the trailer? Yes. Crickets and maybe Curtis our cat. It is in the woods and there are animals but it peaceful to say the least. You may hear a tractor, mower, weed eater or chainsaw but we are a farm. Feel free to mow...:)
• Is there anything I should watch out for in the woods? Yes. This is the south. There are snakes and spiders. You just need to be watchful and don't walk barefoot or put your hands where you cant see them. We can't be responsible for the perils of nature.
• What is your cancellation policy? We have a strict cancellation policy due the high demand. Cancel up to 7 days before check in and you will get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
• What should I do with my trash? We ask that you leave all trash in the trash cans. There is a small trash can inside the treehouse, as well as a larger trash and recycling bin just outside. Please recycle.
• Is there internet? The trailer gets limited (to say the least) cell phone reception in the front lounge. We intentionally don't provide wifi because we all get enough of this in the outside world and want this experience to be different. Plus you can can tell your boss, your friends and your parents that you don't really have service until you get back.
• Can I visit the farm? Yes! Take a walk and see what we do. We are a working farm and are busy. So don't be discouraged if we are picking for restaurants and don't have time to talk. We value your privacy and we hope you will value ours too.
• Are children allowed? The trailer was created for adults, and for liability reasons, we cannot allow children under the age of 12 to stay in the trailer. Our farm isn't childproof as there are many things around the farm and trailer that could be unsafe for younger people.
• Are pets allowed? Yes. Ours. Please leave yours at home.
• How much is it to stay? The price per night currently begins at $215 with a cleaning fee. Prices vary on weekends, holidays and Nashville events such as award shows and CMA Fest. The trailer is meant for 2 adults but the front lounge can sleep 2 more people for $50 per person.
• Can friends visit me or can I have a party? As fun as this may be, it is intended for only those that are renting.
• Is there smoking? No. We are in the woods and it can be very dry. Please no smoking.
• Firepit? If you use it keep it reasonable. You are in the woods and sparks can fly. There is usually wood stacked by the pit and we will show you how and where to cut more. When you are done, PLEASE hose the pit down with some water. Safety first!
• Anything else? Just ask.
